Mike Minter : The Businessman The Ruckus House Scholarship Fund The Ruckus House Foundation (founded by NFL players Mike Minter, Mike Rucker, Stephen Davis and Muhsin Muhammed) is one of the visions that continues to set Minter apart in today's business landscape. Each year the foundation award multiple renewable scholarships to selected graduating seniors with a desire to become teachers. This year two seniors from Jay M. Robinson High School were the first recipients of these scholarships, given in the memory of Jason Ray, the young Christian student and UNC mascot killed recently during the NCAA tournament. Lynda Rutheford, one of the visionaries behind the Ruckus House Foundation, says that the goal of the foundation is to make it possible for students to pursue a career in education and continue on to teach in North Carolina. "The goal of a good teacher is to change the world, one child at a time," stated Lynda. "The Ruckus House Foundation is making that possible." Minter adds, "We understand that today's youth will be teaching tomorrow's youth, so we want to make sure they have an opportunity to equip themselves with the right tools."
